Junior Web Developer Position

Position: Full/Part Time Junior Web Developer
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

What we are looking for is a highly talented individual motivated by a love of all things code... You will be a "full stack" web developer, responsible for building web sites and rich web applications. Not only should you be an expert in JavaScript, PHP and Ruby; you will have experience with design patterns like MVC, REST, semantic markup, HTML/XHTML, AJAX, CSS, cross-browser compatibility and version control.

If you're doing your tertiary level education and looking at getting some paid work experience or you have just finished your studies and looking to work in a boutique web agency then email us your resumes and some examples of your work. The lucky candidate will be working full or part time (21-28 hours a week) with us at our Tel Aviv office.

Daily tasks will include

We have a relaxed attitude, fast work pace, and collaborative workflow. We employ an Agile methodology with little overhead and high cooperation. You will be an essential team member, contributing to the culture and future of our company's success.

  • Site maintenance, HTML and CSS modifications
  • Content migration
  • Design implementation to various content management systems including Joomla and WordPress
  • Documentation and training

You will be taught how to use the tools of the trade in a commercial environment.

Required Knowledge

You must think object-oriented, pride yourself on readable, documented code and enjoy collaborating with web/UX designers and other developers to code applications that are long-lived, easily maintained from the inside out.

  • HTML / CSS
  • Understanding of PHP and MySQL
  • Some experience with Joomla, WordPress or other Open Sourced technologies
  • Experience with Photoshop and Dreamweaver will be a bonus

There will be good possibilities of an on going position when you've finished your studies.

Compensation

This is an initial short term contract with possible extensions.
